Many Thanks!
Many thanks to the wonderful donors who helped us get Lily Mae back in action. She is the “Welcome Goose” on the trail and children love her. She had a total makeover (this is the 3rd Lily Mae) and she went on a shopping spree. Lily has a Halloween Costume (she is going as Frankenstein), a Thanksgiving outfit (she will be a turkey), a holiday outfit and several outfits for spring. For Lily Mae’s security, she has been cemented into the ground.
History of Lily Mae
Lily Mae belonged to 95 year old, Irma Smith who lived at the Kenwood Gardens Condos. When it was time for Irma to go to a nursing home, she knew Lily Mae was headed for the dumpster. Fortunately, CRTT was able to rescue Lily Mae and put her on the trail as a “Welcome Goose”. Irma is now 102 years old and lives nearby and likes to visit Lily Mae whenever possible.
